My love,
Since the day we were introduced,
You’ve never been far.
Through laughter and tears,
The bad and the good,
You were there by my side.
My love,
There hasn’t been a day,
When you weren’t within reach,
Always giving me a boost.
You run in my veins,
Your fragrance on my skin,
Your taste on my tongue.
I can honestly say I need you every morning,
And afternoons and evenings too.
No cream, no sugar,
I like my coffee freshly brewed.
My sentiments exactly, Jina. I loved this! I enjoy my coffee without cream or sugar, too.

Thanks, Jill. Black and plain is the best!

Strongly emotional poem, just like strong, aromatic black coffee, no sugar, nothing else. The smell of freshly roasted coffee is so addictive I have it as my car freshner, many people who ride with me hate me though 🙂

I’d love a ride in your car. Actually, no. I have motion sickness. But I’ll take that air freshener!

Black coffee only, here. And not in the evening. Also, it’s more an addiction than a love relationship.

Heheha. I know. Somewhere along the journey love and addiction blurred into one.

Very, very clever, Jina. I loved it!
No cream or sugar for me either. I like to drink my coffee black–which reminds me that I’m due for another cup!

LOL. I thought this was a love poem of a different sort. But the ending made me laugh. I’m 100% on board, Jina. Now, I need to make myself a fresh cup!

🙂 🙂 Excellent work. I actually don’t drink much coffee myself, but when I do, I take it the same as you! No cream or sugar 🙂

I loved this – such a fun twist at the end! 😊 (I absolutely detest coffee, though… Give me tea any day! 😂)

I drink tea too. I guess at the end of the day I’m one barrel of brewed liquids!

Jina, I’m smiling at this original tribute poem to coffee! I like the love affair aspect of your poem and it describes much the way I feel about chocolate!😀

What a fitting tribute. There are probably many people out there who would miss coffee like a significant other, and you did it very cleverly with your twist at the end. Sharing…
